A game design document seems to be like a bible for your specific project or game. something to look back on and to reflect on your vision. its also something useful to get new people caught up to speed to get working on the project faster. also for for a proposal to potential inverters looking to fund the game.

ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Game Design Document for your project. I have to agree that these documents are like Bibles because they can perform the miracle of telling things to people I don't like like a pragmatic investor
Can't wait to see what you produce in the coming weeks in everything you do
Hi Eimear,
ReplyDeleteI agree about how a Game Design Document is like a bible for designers haha. It is a brilliant way to not only keep yourself in the process of what your plan and finished product will be but it can show others how your idea will come to life!
Looking forward to reading your GDD:)
Hi Eimear,
ReplyDeleteFirst off I love your blog layout its so aesthetically pleasing. I totally agree with how a games design document is the bible for designers. It really keeps the designer on the right track and prevents them from swaying away from their initial design concepts. That's a good point as well that it helps show new people the game concept and get them up to date with the process of it especially for investors who could potentially fund the game. It makes the whole process of developing a game so much easier in terms of the actual developing and communicating to team members and other people who might be involved in the designs.
Cant wait to read your GDD.
Hey Eimear.
ReplyDeleteYour blog looks as pretty as a picture, you clearly have an eye for visual aesthetic.
You are bang on about the fact that the ‘Games Design Document’ is like an informal bible for the game you are designing. You also do a great job explaining all the uses of a GDD
All the best to you 🤟🏻
Hey Eimear,
ReplyDeleteFirstly I love the Layout and the colour scheme you have embedded in your blog. I agree with you, and I really like how you described a games design document as a designer's bible. It's something to think about while you reflect on your goals.
Looking forward to reading your Gdd
Alex.
