Screen shot from my unity set up after completing lesson 2.4 |
So after all the unity struggles and issues with not being able to catch up i've now been able to do some catch up with unity. Unity seems like it can actually be rather fun to make and create with however theses deadlines and stress of being behind feel more like frustrations as it feels like i'm wasting more time on mistakes than growing and learning from it, especially since some of the mistakes are spelling errors which are hard to notice with a learning difficulty like dyspraxia. The first unity tutorial I didn't even fully finish but i'm sure I spent over 2 hours on it due to having lost all my progress the first hour then getting past that on the second try. but i decided to skip over that section as the tutorials seem well put together and reference back to the older tutorials if you are stuck or missing a certain section.
while I thought I had caught up as far as week 5 reading week i had only just caught up on part of week 04s unity tutorials or at least i think i'm honestly not sure anymore i keep going to the site to figure out how far behind i am and i'm not sure if i'm going crazy with the website looping or if the reading week links redirect to week four or five or unity tutorial 4 in week five.
At Least from covering mechanics, dynamics and aesthetics I finally got an idea for a simple game I could create which would be inspired from a small game in a collection of games called the beginners guide. The game is a simple collection of games from this creator called Koda and is being lead as if on a tour guide of his work one of the games koda created was a simple walking and exploring messages meant to mimic messages left online while all of them were created by Koda and slowly reveal his mental state with the mechanics simple of walking and exploring and reading making you feel more personally connected to the simple story in the game.
